With next to no title implications at stake for Mauricio “Shogun” Rua or Chael Sonnen in tonight’s featured attraction, let’s take a closer look at the card’s co-main event between Alistair Overeem (pictured) and Travis Brown.
A closer look at the gambling lines for the co-main event, that is.
Overeem is nearly a 2.5-to-1 odds-on favorite to beat Browne, while “Hapa” is nearly a 2-to-1 underdog against the former heavyweight top contender.
It is believed Overeem could earn next dibs at the 265-pound crown with an impressive victory, but UFC president Dana White took his trademark “we’ll see” stance when probed this week.
TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts hosts the scraps.
