It is being reported that former IFL lightweight champion Chris Horodecki and Dan Lauzon have both agreed to face each other at Affliction’s second promotional event on October 11th. The fight was first reported by Sherdog.com, and 5thRound.com sources have confirmed that both have verbally agreed to the bout, and Affliction is only waiting on the fighters to sign the contracts.
This will be Horodecki’s first fight since his win over Nate Lamotte at the IFL’s last ever promotion in April. Horodecki (12-1) was one of the most sought after free agents when the financially plagued company shut its doors.
Lauzon, is the younger brother of UFC fighter Dan, was a free agent as well, and was rumored to be signing with the WEC, however when this fight presented itself, he had no choice but to take it.
