After a spectacular night of MMA action, UFC president Dana White awarded Anthony Pettis (pictured), Chad Mendes, Hyun Gyu Lim and Pascal Krauss each an additional $50,000 for their special performances Saturday night at “UFC 164: Henderson vs. Pettis II.”
Pettis couldn’t have asked for more in his homecoming. The former WEC lightweight champ not only tapped out Benson Henderson in the opening round to capture the UFC 155-pound crown, but the lock was good enough to earn him “Submission of the Night.”
It took Mendes a little bit more time to win his bonus check. “Money” became the first fighter to TKO Clay Guida en route to his “Knockout of the Night” award.
Lim and Krauss scored “Fight of the Night” for their exciting battle. Lim also took home a TKO victory.
UFC 164 took place inside Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
