The Massachusetts State Athletic Commission has released the official salaries for all the contestants who competed in the “UFC Fight Night: Shogun vs. Sonnen” event in Boston.

Despite getting put to sleep by Travis Browne in the night’s co-featured attraction, former heavyweight top contender Alistair Overeem (pictured) was the card’s highest earner. Overeem nearly tripled his closest peer by pocketing $285,714.29 to show.

Browne, meanwhile, made only $48,000, with half of his check coming via win bonus.

Former light heavyweight champ Mauricio “Shogun” Rua, the event’s second-highest paid athlete, made $175K in a submission loss to Chael Sonnen in the main event.

Please keep in mind, the numbers that get reported to the athletic commissions are only of what’s required. These figures do not include deductions for items such as licenses and taxes.

Additionally, they do not contain money paid by sponsors or any bonuses from the UFC. These royalties can include Fight Night bonuses, top secret discretionary bonuses, etc., which can oftentimes represent a substantial portion of a fighter’s total income.

UFC Fight night took place August 17 inside TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.
