A critical light heavyweight bout between Mauricio “Shogun” Rua (pictured) and James Te Huna has been added to UFC Fight Night in Australia.

The UFC reported the matchup Wednesday afternoon.

The December 7 event (airs live December 6 in North America) takes place inside Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Brisbane.

Hard to believe, but is it possible Shogun could be fighting for his UFC life? The former UFC champion has dropped two straight scraps in convincing fashion.

The Brazilian was just submitted last month by Chael Sonnen.

Te Huna has won four of his past five fights, but was submitted by Glover Teixeira in his most recent outing at UFC 160.

The 205-pound affair will co-headline the show. Heavyweights Mark Hunt and Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva serve as the main event.
