Breaking news: UFC light heavyweight king Jon Jones (pictured) is a significant odds-on favorite to successfully defend his crown Saturday at UFC 165 against Alexander Gustafsson.
Okay, so that’s not exactly earth-shattering information. However, what’s interesting is many experts believe Gustafsson is Jones’ toughest test to date given his skill set and size.
If that’s the case, the Gambling Gods profess no 205-pounder will ever come close to touching Jones. “Bones” is pegged as a 7.5-1 favorite to maul “The Mauler” and become the most decorated champion in UFC history.
Gustafsson, meanwhile, checks in as nearly a 5-1 longshot to dethrone Jones.
Therefore, it could be a very long night for the Swede – or a short one, depending upon how you want to look at it.
Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Canada hosts the shootout.
