Late Monday night, a pair of bouts were added to the UFC 167 lineup. Middleweight Ed Herman (pictured) will meet Rafael Natal, while bantamweight Edwin Figueroa faces Erik Perez in the November 16 event.
After dropping two straight scraps, Herman collected a much-needed win by taking a decision over Trevor Smith in July. “The Ultimate Fighter 3” finalist has been competing inside the Octagon for over seven years.
Natal, meanwhile, has quietly rattled off five wins in his past six outings, including three straight.
Figueroa could very well be fighting for his UFC life. He’s lost three of his five bouts under the UFC’s watch and will be riding a two-bout skid into the tango.
Perez had his eight-fight winning streak snapped last month by Takeya Mizugaki. The 23-year-old owns a 13-5 professional record, with 11 of his victories coming via finish.
Both matchups will appear in the prelims.
MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada hosts the extravaganza.
