A rematch between reigning UFC light heavyweight champ Jon Jones (pictured) and Alexander Gustafsson is far from a done deal, but that hasn’t stopped the Gambling Gods from dropping their two cents on the proposed sequel.
Despite showing the MMA world that Jones is human, not to mention the fact Gustafsson nearly beat “Bones” at UFC 165, the powers that be believe the outcome will be the same if/when the two meet again.
Jones is pegged as an early 4.5-1 odds-on favorite against “The Mauler,” down from the 9-1 rating he was entering Saturday’s scrap. Gustafsson, meanwhile, checks in as more than a 3-1 underdog.
The Swede was a 5.5-1 longshot in their initial tango.
Jones posted a controversial unanimous decision victory over Gustafsson just three days ago. An immediate rematch is currently being mulled over by UFC brass.
