There’s gonna be some Asian on Asian crime going down in Australia on December 6. On Friday afternoon, a bantamweight brawl between Nam Phan (pictured) and Takeya Mizugaki was added to the UFC Fight Night 33 roster.
Phan has alternated between wins and losses over his past five contests. The good news for the likable Vietnamese-American is that he dropped his last tango. So, if Phan’s current trend continues he’ll right the ship against Mizugaki.
Mizugaki, however, is not pushover. The Japanese veteran will be riding a three-fight winning streak into the scrap. He was seen just last month taking a split decision over Erik Perez at UFC Fight Night 27.
The 135-pound affair will likely appear in the night’s prelims.
Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Brisbane hosts the festivities. Fox Sports 1 broadcasts the main card live in America.
Here is the show’s updated lineup:
Takeya Mizugaki vs. Nam Phan
Anthony Perosh vs. Ryan Bader
Pat Barry vs. Soa Palelei
Mauricio “Shogun” Rua vs. James Te Huna
Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva vs. Mark Hunt
