Strikeforce Jake Shields

After a brief two-and-a-half week hiatus, the UFC returns Wednesday with some Octagon action in Brazil. “UFC Fight Night: Maia vs. Shields” takes place inside Jose Correa Arena in Sao Paulo.

Former Strikeforce middleweight champion Jake Shields (pictured) enters hostile territory to try and post his first two-fight win streak in three years. The odds are stacked against Shields, as the Gambling Gods have pegged him more than a 2-1 underdog against Demian Maia.

Maia, meanwhile, is nearly a 3-1 odds-on favorite to continue his torrid run since dropping to the welterweight division.

Fox Sports 1 will broadcast the main card live in America.
