The UFC has officially confirmed that a pair of “The Ultimate Fighter” lightweight winners will headline their “UFC Fight Night 20” show on January 11th as Season 8 winner Efrain Escudero will face Evan Dunham in the night’s co-main event.
It had already been announced that undefeated Gray Maynard will be taking on “TUF 8” winner Nate Diaz in the final bout inside the the Patriot Center in Fairfax, Virginia.
Maynard is riding one of the most impressive winning streaks in the business as his resume includes wins over the likes of Frankie Edgar, Jim Miller, and most recently Roger Huerta at “UFC Fight Night 19.”
Diaz was last seen taking an impressive W over Melvin Guillard on the same September card. He had dropped two consecutive bouts prior to posting that W, however has won six of his last eight overall.
Escudero holds an impressive 13-0 record and is coming off of a convincing victory over Cole Miller at UFC 103. The wrestler’s stand up looked much-improved as he TKO’d Miller in the 1stRound of their affair.
Speaking of never losing, Dunham has been perfect though his first nine scraps and is 2-0 inside the Octagon. He earned a split decision over Marcus Aurelio at UFC 102 in his last outing.
