MMA fans like to rib Urijah Faber and Liz Carmouche because they look very similar to each other, as if they’re long-lost brother and sister. Well, Carmouche sure looked like Faber Wednesday night – like when Faber was getting his lead leg pummeled by Jose Aldo at WEC 48.
Alexis Davis’ game plan was clear from the opening bell, punish Carmouche’s right leg with one thunderous kick after another. Carmouche was visibly limping midway through the second round, even switching to orthodox stance in an attempt to better protect her right thigh.
It didn’t help too much, as Davis still targeted and connected on countless kicks to the leg.
When it was all said and done, Davis walked away with a unanimous decision victory.
UFC Fight for the Troops 3 took place in Fort Campbell, Kentucky.
