“The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights Finale” on December 5th was created to crown the winner a highly-coveted six-figure UFC contract, but it also provides an opportunity for a guy like Joe Brammer to make a name for himself on MMAs’ biggest stage.

For those of you who don’t know, Brammer owns an impressive 7-0-1 professional record, with all but one of his W’s ending with a devastating finish. Although the submission specialist faces a crafty Mark Bocek in his Octagon debut, he fully intends to attack this foe as he has everyone else.

“Mark is a good grappler. My game plan is 2 rapid left jabs followed by a right cross and a left hook. That’s all you get I’m not telling my game plan,” a very loose Brammer told 5thRound.com.

Fighting in the UFC obviously presents a life changing opportunity, something most never get the luxury of experiencing, but Brammer isn’t about to let the added pressure affect his swag.

“My life could change financially, but being in the UFC won’t change me personally. I’m not gonna be one of those people that gets a little bit of fame and acts like they are better than everyone and becomes full of themselves. I think Jay-Z said it best when he said ‘fame is the worst drug known to man, it’s stronger than Heroin, when you can look in the mirror like there I am and still not see what you’ve become,'” Brammer stated.

If you want proof of Brammer’s grounded ways, just ask him yourself as he promises to leave no message un-returned.

“Actually, add my Fan Page on Facebook. I respond to everyone who comments, and will update of everything I’m up to before/after the fight. Become a Fan at; Joe “The Southside Strangler” Brammer.

“I think it’s really important to stay connected to your fans because at the end of the day the fans are who pays for the fighters to get in the ring and show off.”

This has been a long time coming for Brammer, so we’ll see if he can cash-in this lotto ticket and seize the opportunity he’s worked so hard for.

Make sure to support Brammer at “The Ultimate Fighter: Heavyweights Finale” on SpikeTV beginning at 10PM ET/PT as he looks to prove to the MMA world that he’s not your average Joe.
