On Thursday night, the Ultimate Fighting Championship announced they will be returning to Atlanta on January 15 for a UFC Fight Night event.
Duluth’s Arena at Gwinnett Center will hosts the festivities. Fox Sports 1 will broadcast the main card.
The promotion didn’t waste any time in lining up the first fight for the show. Featherweight Cole Miller (pictured) will face Sam Sicilia. Both 145-pounders are coming off victories.
The UFC has visited the ATL on two prior occasions, with UFC 145 in April 2012 marking their most recent trip to the south. A light heavyweight grudge match between champion Jon Jones and Rashad Evans headlined the show.
The Octagon made its debut in Atlanta with UFC 88 in September 2008. Evans knocked Chuck Liddell out cold in the main event.
Additional bouts will be announced shortly.
