Word on the street is that the middleweight title clash between champ Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort is set to go down at UFC 109 on February 6th in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The two Brazilian’s were originally rumored to square off at UFC 108 on January 2nd, however Silva has been on the mend from a recent elbow surgery.

“The Spider” is currently riding an 11-fight winning streak and was last seen slapping Forrest Griffin upside his melon at UFC 101. Before Belfort’s arrival, Silva has had a tough time finding 185-pound competition that would keep him motivated and hungry.

Speaking of motivated, Belfort, a former UFC light heavyweight champ himself, must have had a shot of adrenaline injected into his system after he was informed by UFC president Dana White that he had earned himself a shot at Silva’s strap following his impressive 1stRound knockout of Rich Franklin at UFC 102.

Here are the other fighters rumored to be participating in the pay-per-view broadcast:

Matt Serra vs. TBD
Rolles Gracie vs. Mostapha Al Turk
Melvin Guillard vs. Ronnys Torres
Renzo Gracie vs. Matt Hughes
Demian Maia vs. Dan Miller
Vitor Belfort vs. Anderson Silva (UFC Middleweight Champion)
