According to the Nevada State Athletic Commission, 14,856 fans packed the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Saturday to witness “UFC 167: St-Pierre vs. Hendricks.”
The show garnered a live gate of $5,759,350.
Of the 14,856 folks in attendance, the NSAC reports 13,621 fans paid to enter the venue, while 1,235 people received complimentary tickets.
There were 57 unsold seats.
The official numbers are nearly identical to what UFC president Dana White reported during the UFC 167 post-fight press conference. White accurately said 14,856 fans had packed the arena, but slightly shortchanged the door at $5.7 million.
Another critical number released by the NSAC on Friday was zero, as in no fighters in the event tested positive for any banned substances.
The pay-per-view’s featured attraction showcased a championship affair between welterweight king Georges St-Pierre (pictured) and Johny Hendricks. GSP took home a highly controversial split decision victory over “Bigg Rigg” to collect his eighth consecutive title defense.
