After a night of freebie MMA action, UFC president Dana White awarded Nate Diaz (pictured) and Chris Holdsworth each an additional $50,000 for their special performances Saturday night at “The Ultimate Fighter 18 Finale.” Ryan Benoit walked away with $100,000 due to Joshua Sampo’s blunder on the scale.

Diaz mauled Gray Maynard in tonight’s main event to score his bonus check. Diaz’s first round TKO was more than enough to earn “Knockout of the Night” honors.

Holdsworth not only won a six-figure UFC contract by taking the men’s TUF 18 tournament, but he also scored $50,000 for tapping out David Grant in the finals.

Sampo may have submitted Benoit in their back and forth battle, but since he came in 1.5 pounds too heavy for their flyweight fight, his $50k for “Fight of the Night” goes direct in Benoit’s wallet.

UFC president Dana White simply stated, “It pays to make weight.”

TUF 18 Finale took place inside Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Fight of the Night:
