Ryan Bader outstruck Anthony Perosh 156 to 11 en route to Saturday’s landslide unanimous decision victory at UFC Fight Night 33. Unfortunately for Bader, pummeling a guy in the dome for 15 non-stop minutes has its consequences.
Bader did not attend the post-fight press conference because he was transported directly to the hospital to have his right hand x-rayed. As depicted by the image above, the scan revealed he broke his haymaker.
“I think that’s bad,” Bader posted on his Instagram along with the x-ray.
Bader was an overwhelming 5-1 odds-on favorite to steamroll Perosh. While “Darth” held up his end of the bargain, he was hoping to leave the fight unscathed to quickly resume his climb up the light heavyweight totem pole.
No word on how long Bader will be forced to ride the pine.
As for Perosh, the 41-year-old proved once again that the face-to-fist defense is not the business. He too was rushed to the hospital after the bout to have his bloodied and battered mug examined.
UFC Fight Night 33 took place inside Brisbane Entertainment Centre in Australia.
