Were you one of the many who weren’t interested in women’s MMA until the UFC decided to add the ladies to its roster? If you’ve got a few minutes of your day to spare – of course you do, nobody is really working even if you’re at work on the last Friday before Christmas, right? – watch the only women’s Strikeforce fight that really matters at this point.
It took place March 3, 2012 and featured a bantamweight title bout between then-champ Miesha Tate (pictured), who just captured the crown in her prior outing against Marloes Coenen, and current UFC golden girl Ronda Rousey.
The two didn’t like each other then, and time hasn’t healed any of the hatred. In fact, their feud has since reached epic proportions.
Rousey still owns a perfect 7-0 professional record, so it’s not like I’m spoiling the ending if haven’t seen the scrap before.
Tate looks to knot up the score December 28 when they co-headline UFC 168.
