After a spectacular night of MMA action, UFC president Dana White awarded Travis Browne and Miesha Tate each an additional $75,000 for their special performances Saturday night at “UFC 168: Weidman vs. Silva II.” Ronda Rousey (pictured) double-dipped and took home two bonuses for a total of $150,000.
Rousey and Tate put on the most thrilling show of the night, and they were rewarded with “Fight of the Night” for their efforts. Rousey’s third round armbar was enough to also score “Submission of the Night.”
Browne became the first fighter in UFC history to post two KO wins via standing elbows. He made Josh Barnett his latest victim. Gabriel Gonzaga was the first. Those vicious elbows got him “Knockout of the Night” honors.
UFC 168 took place inside MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
