With now-former UFC bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz falling to yet another injury, Urijah Faber gets his wish and was granted another crack at the crown.
Unfortunately for Faber, the Gambling Gods believe Renan Barao will blow by him again at UFC 169 like the Brazilian did just 19 months ago.
Barao is a significant 3-1 odds-on favorite to successfully defend his hardware for the first time as the division’s outright champion – see ya, interim moniker.
“The California Kid,” meanwhile, checks in as a +240 underdog to win his first championship affair in his last six tries.
UFC 169 takes place February 1 inside Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
