“The Ultimate Fighter 18” winner Julianna Pena has suffered a “severe” knee injury that will force her out of her March 15 tango with Jessica Andrade. As we all know full well, the Octagon waits for no woman, as TUF 18 teammate Raquel Pennington (pictured) has agreed to step in at UFC 171.
The UFC announced the swap Wednesday night via Twitter.
Pennington collected a unanimous decision victory over Roxanne Modafferi at the TUF 18 Finale. “Rocky” had dropped her two prior bouts before November’s win.
Andrade posted a unanimous decision win over Rosi Sexton in her Octagon debut.
The 135-pound affair will appear in the card’s prelims.
American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas hosts the festivities.
