UFC lightweight Melvin Guillard (21-7-2) has been pulled from his UFC 90 bout against Spencer Fisher (21-4).  The reasons for Guillard’s withdrawl is not known, however the UFC has already found his replacement in Shannon Gugerty (11-2).  Gugerty was victorious in his UFC debut at Fight Night 14 in July, where he defeated Dale Harrt.

Guillard’s removal from the October 25th card was first reported by Sherdog.com. Fisher told the website, “Melvin is off the card, and they went through three or four opponents and settled on Gugerty.”

Guillard looked very impressive in his last UFC outing in which he defeated Dennis Silver via TKO in the 1stRound at UFC 86. Make sure to check back to 5thRound.com as we will be reporting any additional information as it comes out regarding Guillard’s situation.
