Former WEC and now UFC fighter Jake Rosholt has been released by the world’s biggest MMA organization following his recent loss to Kendall Grove at “UFC 106: Ortiz vs. Griffin II.”
Rosholt told fans of his release via his Twitter page.
“Not a good day,” Rosholt Tweeted. “Just found out I got cut by the UFC.”
The middleweight bout between Grove and Rosholt must have been an old-fashioned loser leaves town match and unfortunately Rosholt got the short end of the stick.
He compiled a 1-2 record in the UFC with his only win coming against Chris Leben. He was submitted by both Dan Miller and Grove in the Octagon.
