For the first time since April 2008, someone other than Georges St-Pierre will don the UFC welterweight title. That man will either be Johny Hendricks, who many believe beat GSP in November and should already have the hardware, or Robbie Lawler.
The sluggers collide March 15 at UFC 171 for the vacant 170-pound crown. In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past few months, St-Pierre voluntarily vacated his belt to take a break from MMA.
It will be the night of the welterweights, as former top contender Carlos Condit and Tyron Woodley collide in the co-main event.
American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas hosts the gig.
