May 31 will be a busy day for the Octagon. The UFC announced Thursday they will be taking their talents back to Germany on that date, the same day Chael Sonnen is scheduled to fight Wanderlei Silva in Brazil.
O2 World in Berlin plays hosts to the UFC Fight Night card.
The planet’s premier mixed martial arts promotion hasn’t been to Germany since UFC 122 in November 2010. This marks their third show in Germany, first in the country’s capital.
Sonnen and Silva, who are currently serving as opposing coaches on “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil,” were confirmed to collide May 31 at a yet-to-be determined venue in Brazil weeks ago.
No bouts were reported for the event in Germany. The show will likely be available for viewing exclusively on UFC Fight Pass.
