And then there were nine, as in only nine bouts that will appear in Saturday’s “UFC Fight Night: Gustafsson vs. Manuwa” event. Seven hours after Roland Delorme (pictured) and Davey Grant each successfully weighed in for tomorrow’s bantamweight battle, the scrap has been scrapped.
The UFC announced the cancellation Friday evening via Twitter, but didn’t offer a reason why the fight was pulled.
Delorme was looking to bounce back from September’s split decision defeat to Alex Caceres at UFC 165 event. “The Ultimate Fighter 14” contestant has posted a 3-1 (1 NC) mark in the big leagues.
Grant was submitted by Chris Holdsworth in the TUF 18 finals in November, costing him a six-figure UFC contract. Despite the loss, UFC president Dana White was so pleased with Grant that he decided to retain “Dangerous’” services.
