Oh, that Gegard Mousasi (pictured) is so slick. Less than 24 hours after hinting that he would welcome a fight with Mark Munoz on “UFC Tonight,” the UFC has announced Thursday the middleweights will headline their return to Germany.
The May 31 event takes place inside O2 World in Berlin.
Coincidentally, both 185-pounders are looking to bounce back from losses to Lyoto Machida. Munoz was knocked out with a head kick in October, while Mousasi dropped a unanimous decision to “The Dragon” last month.
Munoz has lost two of his past three fights, but rattled off four straight victories prior to his current run.
Mousasi, meanwhile, is 6-1-1 over his last eight outings. “The Dreamcatcher” fought to a majority draw to Keith Jardine in April 2011.
No word if this event will be made available for viewing via UFC Fight Pass, Fox Sports 1, Fox Sports 2 or a combination of the three.
