Now that T.J. Dillashaw has accepted an offer he couldn’t refuse, Takeya Mizugaki (pictured) has been issued a new assignment at UFC 173.

UFC officials announced Friday that Mizugaki will now meet Francisco Rivera in the May 24 event.

Mizugaki was slated to face Dillashaw, but Dillashaw was promoted to the show’s main event to challenge bantamweight champion Renan Barao for his throne.

Middleweight champ champ Chris Weidman and Lyoto Machida were supposed the healdine the pay-per-view broadcast, but Weidman was forced to withdraw earlier this week to undergo knee surgery. That tango was postponed to UFC 175.

Rivera will be riding a five-fight winning streak into the tango. He was last seen in November posting a TKO over George Roop.

Mizugaki has rattled off four consecutive victories. The 30-year-old most recently notched a decision over Nam Pham in December.

MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada hosts the festivities.
