Matt “The Hammer” Hamill handed Jon “Bones” Jones the only loss of his career at “The Ultimate Fighter Heavyweights” Finale, but it wasn’t how you would’ve expected. Jones was disqualified after “intentional elbows” that were illegal.

Hamill was unable to continue following the 12 o’clock to 6 o’clock elbows that Jones rained down on him, which opened up a huge gash on the bridge of his nose.

Following the bout, a very beaten up Hamill told Joe Rogan that he dislocated his shoulder while trying to scramble out of Jones’ full mount.

A surprisingly calm Jones accepted the loss telling Joe Rogan, “everything happens for a reason.”

Unfortunately for Jones, if he hadn’t landed a couple of illegal elbows he would’ve notched the 10th win of his career and maintained his unbeaten record.
