After being forced to watch UFC 172 from the stands because opponent Vagner Ceara Rocha suffered a last-second injury, lightweight Joe Ellenberger (pictured) has been issued his next assignment.
On Tuesday, the UFC announced Ellenberger will meet Frank Trevino at UFC Fight Night San Antonio.
The June 28 event takes place inside AT&T Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Ellenberger will be making his big league debut having won two straight. “Excalibur” owns a 14-1 professional record, with his lone blemish coming against Justin Salas in 20111.
Trevino posted a unanimous decision over Renee Forte in his only UFC fight. The 32-year-old holds a perfect 12-0 resume.
The 155-pound scrap will likely appear in the prelims.
