Lorenz Larkin chose to stand in the pocket and trade thunder with Constas Philippou (pictured) on Saturday at UFC Fight Night 40. Larkin chose poorly.
Both middleweights were flinging leather, but Philippou had the clear advantage in the power department. Philippou ultimately put the former Strikeforce star to sleep at the 3:47 mark in the opening frame.
It was a much-needed win for Philippou, as he had dropped his past two scraps. As for Larkin, his job might be in jeopardy because he’s now dropped three of four bouts, including two straight.
UFC Fight Night 40 took place inside U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio.
