The WEC has officially announced the remaining seven bouts that will complete their upcoming “WEC: Cerrone vs. Ratcliff” event on December 19.
“This is the perfect way to close out 2009,” WEC general manager Reed Harris said. “We have stacked this card with some outstanding battles featuring our top contenders. This is truly our holiday gift to fans.”
Along with the night’s featured contest, the organization also confirmed that Scott Jorgensen will meet Takeya Mizugaki, Bart Palaszewski will square off against Anthony Pettis, Muhsin Corbbrey faces Zach Micklewright, Chad George will be pitted against John Hosman, Tyler Toner will be fighting Brandon Visher, Kyle Dietz will tango with Brad Pickett, and Erik Koch battles Jameel Massouh inside The Pearl at The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The organization had previously confirmed Donald Cerrone’s main event bout against Ed Ratcliff, as well as Chris Horodecki’s WEC debut against Anthony Njokuani and bantamweight sensation Joseph Benavidez looking to bounce back from the first loss of his professional career against Brazilian Jiu Jitsu ace Rani Yahya.
