Months after announcing their debut event in Maine, the UFC has finally added bouts to the August 16 show. A middleweight scrap between Brad Tavares (pictured) and Tim Boetsch, as well as a heavyweight tango between Jack May and Shawn Jordan was confirmed for the show by BangorDaily.com.
Cross Insurance Center in Bangor hosts the festivities.
Tavares had his five-fight winning streak snapped by Yoel Romero in his last outing. The 26-year-old’s only other professional defeat came at the hands of Aaron Simpson at UFC 132.
Boetsch might be fighting for his UFC life having. “The Barbarian” has dropped three of his last four contests. He was most recently seen getting submitted by Luke Rockhold in April.
Jordan has dropped two straight, while May is looking to bounce back from getting TKO’d by Derrick Lewis.
Fox Sports 1 is expected to broadcast the main card live.
