A welterweight clash between Carlos Condit and Paul Daley has been put on the shelf due to … Carlos Condit being put on the shelf. Condit has reportedly suffered an injury during training and will be forced off the card.

Although Daley is still able to compete at UFC 108 in January, there is no word as to whether or not the UFC will find a replacement or cancel the bout altogether.

Daley made an impressive debut in the Octagon after TKO’ing Martin Kampmann at UFC 103 in Dallas, Texas. The win propelled Daley right into the welterweight title picture.

Condit bounced back from a loss to Kampmann by beating Jake Ellenberger and was looking to take out Daley to solidify his spot as a title contender.

After beating Kampmann, Daley said that he would like a shot at Mike Swick, but with Swick’s loss to Dan Hardy at UFC 105, we’re not so sure the UFC or Daley would look to put the two together.
