An undisclosed injury has forced Hector Lombard (pictured) out of his August 23 scrap against Dong Hyun Kim.
No need to fear, because Tyron Woodley is here. The former Strikeforce star has agreed to serve as substitute in Macau.
UFC president Dana White announced the switcheroo late Monday night via Twitter.
It is unknown how long Lombard will be forced to ride the pine.
Woodley was anxious to get back to action after this month’s disappointing landslide decision loss to Rory MacDonald at UFC 174. White claimed “The Chosen One” had once again choked under pressure.
Kim is perfect through his past four outings, with his last two coming in KO fashion. “Stun gun” plastered John Hathaway in March.
No word if the event will be made available for live viewing in America via Fox Sports 1, Fox Sports 1, UFC Fight Pass or some combination of the three.
CotaiArena inside the Venetian Resort in China hosts the festivities.
