Vegas, baby. Vegas! Sorry, Canada. You will not be hosting September 27th’s highly anticipated rematch between reigning UFC light heavyweight king Jon Jones (pictured) and Alexander Gustafsson.
During Friday’s special edition of “UFC Tonight,” UFC president Dana White announced the 205-pound shootout will take place in Las Vegas. Mandalay Bay Events Center or the larger MGM Grand Garden Arena will do the honors.
The card was originally slated to go down in Toronto.
Jones took a controversial unanimous decision over Gustafsson in their initial encounter in September. It is the only time anyone has made “Bones” look beatable inside the cage.
No other bouts have been confirmed for the lineup at this time.
