UFC Bobby Green

On Friday, LeBron James announced he’s returning to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Wait up, I’m talking about the wrong “King”…

What I meant to write was, an undisclosed injury has forced Michael Johnson out of his UFC on FOX 12 fight against Josh Thomson. Bobby “King” Green (pictured) as agreed to serve as substitute on July 26.

Green was originally slated to face Abel Trujillo on the August 16 UFC Fight Night Maine. The promotion is currently scouring its roster for Trujillo’s new opponent.

Thomson has alternated between wins and losses over his past six outings. “The Punk’s” looking to bounce back from January’s controversial split decision defeat to Benson Henderson that cost him a lightweight title shot.

Green will be riding a seven-fight winning streak into the shootout. He most recently took a unanimous decision victory over Pat Healy in December.

SAP Center in San Jose, California hosts the festivities. FOX broadcasts the main card live starting at 8PM ET/5PM PT.

Here is the show’s revised lineup:

Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs. Juliana Lima

Brian Ortega vs. Michael De La Torre

Kyle Kingsbury vs. Patrick Cummins

Dennis Bermudez vs. Clay Guida

Jorge Masvidal vs. Daron Cruickshank

Josh Thomson vs. Bobby Green

Anthony Johnson vs. Antonio Rogerio Nogueira

Robbie Lawler vs. Matt Brown
