Vitor Belfort was scrapped from Affliction “Day of Reckoning” because of a broken hand he suffered during a KO victory over Terry Martin at “Affliction: Banned.” It now looks like Belfort is going to be added back to the card that was postponed until January 17th. “I’ll surely be back. I spoke with Tom Atencio and what they decide is good for me. I’m ready to face anyone,” Belfort told Tatame.com.
Belfort was originally scheduled to fight Matt Lindland at “Day of Reckoning” for the WAMMA middleweight title.
The addition of Belfort certainly helps re-tool a card that originally had trouble selling tickets in Las Vegas.
It is currently unknown if Lindland will still be Belfort’s opponent now that he will be able to compete for Affliction on January 17th.
