The game of welterweight musical chairs comes to a convenient end for UFC Fight Night Tulsa. With injuries to Demian Maia and Brandon Thatch, Jordan Mein (pictured) and Mike Pyle will now meet each other in the August 23 event.
Mein was initially slated to face Thatch, while Pyle was set to battle Maia.
Mein has won four of his past five fights, rebounding nicely from a TKO loss to Mike Brown by beating Hernani Perpetuo in April.
Pyle is victorious in five of his last six outings. The 38-year-old TKO’d T.J. Waldburger in February.
BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma hosts the festivities. Fox Sports 1 broadcasts the main card live starting at 10PM ET/7PM PT.
