For those of you who thought Monday’s impromptu brawl between light heavyweight king Jon Jones (pictured) and Daniel Cormier at the UFC 178 media day inside MGM Grand lobby was staged, here’s further evidence that the archenemies can’t stand each other.
By now, everyone has seen what went down when Jones pressed his forehead against Cormier’s during their face-off, which made Cormier shove Jones back by the throat, which forced Jones to lunge with a left haymaker, which prompted fans to make countless memes of UFC senior director Dave Sholler frantically trying to keep the 205-pounders separated.
The two then appeared on ESPN’s SportsCenter at the same time, but in different rooms, to discuss their rumble. Everyone is privy to all that.
However, a video surfaced Friday of the verbal exchange Jones and Cormier had with each other when they thought ESPN’s cameras weren’t rolling.
It was heated. Cormier continues to accuse Jones of being fake in public, which Jones never once denied. Jones then threatened to “literally kill you” after Cormier said he wanted to spit in Jones’ face.
The UFC immediately took down the initial YouTube upload when they caught wind of it, but thankfully our buddies at MiddleEasy.com loaded it on their own media player.
Enjoy it while you can, before the powers that be erase that from the Internet, too.
