And then there were nine, as in only nine bouts that will appear at “UFC 177: Dillashaw vs. Barao II” after octagon rookie Richard Odoms was forced to withdraw from his heavyweight scrap against Ruslan Magomedov with an undisclosed injury.
Because the August 30 event is just around the corner, Magomedov will be assigned a new opponent on an upcoming card.
The good news is the show’s featured attraction between bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw and Renan Barao remains intact. However, the overall depth of the rest of the roster will have fans questioning whether it’s worth their $54.94.
Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California hosts the festivities.
