Just minutes before Jordan Mein tipped the scale Friday in preparation for tonight’s UFC Fight Night 49 scrap against Mike Pyle, James Lee Mein (pictured), Jordan’s father, was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting the hotel housekeeper at their Tulsa hotel.

Although Lee posted his $2,000 bail early this morning, the UFC has barred him from attending his son’s fight.

“We were made aware that James Lee Mein, father of UFC competitor Jordan Mein, was arrested on allegations of felony sexual assault,” the UFC expressed in an official statement. “Mr. Mein is accused of sexually assaulting a housekeeper at the UFC’s host hotel in Tulsa, Okla.

“The UFC finds the allegations against Mr. Mein deplorable and we fully support local law enforcement in its investigation. The UFC is also prohibiting Mr. Mein from attending tonight’s event should he post bail. Jordan Mein will remain on tonight’s card.”

The Hyatt Regency, just two blocks from BOK Centerin Oklahoma, which held yesterday’s weigh-ins and tonight’s event, is the UFC’s host hotel. Lee warmed up with his son during Thursday’s media workouts at the hotel.

It is believed Lee was to corner Jordan in tonight’s co-main event.

Despite being 47, Lee is still an active MMA fighter. The heavyweight owns a meager 6-13 professional record and has lost four his last five bouts.

“Gladiator” was most recently TKO’d by Tim Hague in February at WSOF Canada.

Lee is scheduled to appear in court on August 29.
