Rafael Dos Anjos (pictured) collected the biggest win of his career Saturday by knocking out former lightweight champion Benson Henderson at UFC Fight Night 49.

However, Dos Anjos’ victory didn’t come without controversy. After dropping Henderson with a left hook and landing a couple punches to the mug on the canvas, veteran referee “Big” John McCarthy quickly jumped in to stop the assault.

Henderson protested that he was “clear-headed” when McCarthy stepped in.

The official stoppage came at 2:31 in the opening round.

Dos Anjos has now quietly won seven of his last eight scraps in a talent-right lightweight division. The Brazilian’s lone blemish during his current run came against undefeated Khabib Nurmagomedov in April.

UFC Fight Night 49 took place inside BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
