The “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung (pictured) just can’t seem to shake the pesky injury bug.
The former featherweight top contender has suffered a shoulder injury that will force him out of his October 4 scrap against Akira Corassani. The 145-pounders were slated to co-headline the gig, which takes place at Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden.
The UFC has yet to address Jung’s reported injury.
This is just the latest setback on the injury front for Jung. The 27-year-old hasn’t been seen since losing to reigning featherweight king Jose Aldo last August at UFC 163. Jung has been riding the pine with the dislocated shoulder he suffered against Aldo.
The popular slugger had won four straight prior to the TKO defeat.
Due to various wounds, Jung has only fought twice since beating Mark Hominick in December 2011.
