Akira Corassani has been issued a new dance partner. After watching “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung exit their October 4 scrap with a shoulder injury, Max Holloway (pictured) has agreed to serve as substitute.
The UFC announced the switcheroo Thursday via Twitter.
Holloway is just five days removed from posting a highlight reel TKO on Clay Collard. “Blessed” will be riding a three-fight winning streak into the featherweight affair.
Corassani is looking to bounce back from a TKO loss after getting pummeled by Dustin Poirier in April. The L snapped the 31-year-old’s three-fight winning streak.
Jung and Corassani were slated to co-headline the gig. It is believed the new matchup will maintain the same spot in the lineup.
No word if the show will be made available for live viewing in America via UFC Fight Pass, Fox Sports 1, Fox Sports 2 or some combination of the three.
Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden hosts the festivities.
