Just when you thought UFC 177 couldn’t get any worse, Renan Barao has to pass out backstage before Friday’s weigh-ins…
Now that the immediate rematch the UFC has been trying so desperately to sell us on for the past three months has fallen out, let’s take a look at how Barao’s substitute fares against bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw.
Not too well, from a gambling standpoint…
Dillashaw is a whopping 11-1 odds-on favorite to retain his title against the UFC newbie. Soto, meanwhile, checks in as a 6.5-1 longshot.
“Never Trust the Odds” was the tagline the UFC was using to promote Dillashaw vs. Barao II. Will that be Soto’s new war cry for tonight?
Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California serves as host.
