“UFC 177: Dillashaw vs. Soto” took place Saturday night inside Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California. 

The instant rematch between bantamweight champion TJ Dillashaw and Renan Barao was scrapped that the 11th hour after Barao passed out while trying to cut weight on Friday, so just ignore the official event post above.

In steps little-known Joe Soto.

A lightweight affair between Danny Castillo and Tony Ferguson served as the night’s co-main event. Flyweight champ Demetrious Johnson and Chris Cariaso were initially slated as the show’s co-featured attraction, but they got bumped to headline UFC 178.
