On Friday, the UFC confirmed a light heavyweight scrap between former champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua (pictured) and Jimi Manuwa will headline their November 8 show in Brazil.
Ginasio Municipal Tancredo Neves in Uberlandia, Minas Gerais is expected to host the festivities.
Both 205-pounders are looking to bounce back from defeats, but Shogun is in desperate need of a W. The 32-year-old has dropped three of his last four bouts, with his lone win during this stretch coming over James Te Huna.
Manuwa was handed his first professional blemish in 15 scraps when Alexander Gustafsson mauled him in March.
No word if the show will be made available for live viewing in America via UFC Fight Pass, Fox Sports 1, Fox Sports 2 or some combination of the three.
Here is the card’s current lineup:
John Lineker vs. Ian McCall
Rafael Cavalcante vs. Ovince Saint Preux
