Dustin Poirier (pictured) Conor McGregor could easily headline a UFC Fight Night card, or even a pay-per-view considering how watered down many UFC PPVs are nowadays, but the featherweights will actually take third-to-top billing Saturday at UFC 178.
There has been plenty of banter between the featherweights leading up to the scrap. McGregor claims Poirier is quivering in his boots, while “Diamond” can’t comprehend the superstar treatment the outspoken Irishman enjoys after just three UFC fights.
MgGregor is nearly a 3-1 odds-on favorite to collect his 12th straight win. Poirier checks in as just more than a 2-1 underdog.
MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada hosts the festivities.
